Introducing "Out Of Control" - a one-of-a-kind 40SS Skater, originally built in 2008. This remarkable vessel boasts newly upgraded 1100 Mercury twin turbo engines, each with a mere 70 hours of total runtime. Experience its cutting-edge features including Arneson ASD-8 surface drives and race-proven rudder-steering.
Recently refurbished, the interior of this wave-crushing marvel is enhanced, complemented by updated electronics. The running gear has been meticulously serviced, with fresh bearings and seals ensuring peak performance.
The transformation of this 40-footer was a monumental project, involving a complete overhaul of its rigging. This included the fabrication of new motor mounts to optimize engine positioning, along with the installation of custom-built drop-boxes from SCS Gearbox in Bellevue, Ohio. The result? A reduction in weight and a recalibrated center of gravity, enhancing stability and agility on the water.
Thanks to its recent upgrades, "Out Of Control" achieves speeds in the mid-140s mph, delivering a remarkably smooth ride devoid of the mid-range hop typical of other catamarans. With its precision handling, it maneuvers effortlessly, true to the Skater legacy.

Andy & Mitch
Andy Imhof and Mitch Kramer worked together to build Maryland Offshore Performance into a thriving business.
The owner of Maryland Offshore Performance, Andy Imhof, and his general manager Mitch Kramer have been cranking out boat restoration jobs and updates at a record pace, piling up frequent flyer miles faster than a political candidate during a campaign year.
The duo has been finishing projects at their home in Maryland as well as in Lake of the Ozarks, the central Missouri lake that is fast becoming the heart of the high-performance boating world. The company may be based in Ijamsville, Md., but Imhof and Kramer travel wherever they need to go to get a job done.
We know Boats
The list of boats that have gone through the facility is impressive with names like Doug Wright, Skater, Mystic, Outerlimits, MTI, Black Thunder, Cigarette Racing Team and more. The first project that Imhof had Kramer tackle was a 36’ Apache. Kramer re-did the interior, including the dash panels, the stereo, lighting and more, bringing it all up to date. A customer from California bought the boat and installed Paul Pfaff Racing engines.
